About Leigh Anne
Leigh Anne O’Connor is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with more than two decades of experience working with breastfeeding families. She has served on the Board of the New York Lactation Consultant Association (NYLCA), including President, Vice-president and Education Coordinator. She is a member of International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA), United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA) and a past member of the Bank Street Head Start Health Advisory Board. She has been an accredited La Leche League Leader since 1997. Leigh Anne is also a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. Leigh Anne offers in person and virtual support for breastfeeding, chestfeeding and bottle feeding. She also mentors aspiring IBCLCs via Pathway 3 of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners. Leigh Anne lectures for professional organizations, consults with companies to set up Corporate Lactation programs, teaches breastfeeding classes, leads support groups, and sees private clients all over New York City. Additionally she coaches parents on a variety of topics. ​Leigh Anne also is available as an expert witness for legal cases involving breastfeeding.Leigh Anne has appeared on television, radio and in documentaries internationally as an expert and advocate for breastfeeding, promoting its importance as a health issue for babies, mothers, families and society at large. She has appeared on Fox New York, Bravo's Pregnant in Heels and CNN's John King USA, The Doctors, TLC’s Bringing Home Baby and is seen regularly on the Newborn Channel. Other appearances include: Montel and Runway Moms on Discovery Health, Good Morning America, WCBS News and WOR radio.
